How Difficult is it to Synthesize a Custom Peptide?
The synthesis of custom peptides requires advanced planning, including assessment of the sequence to identify difficult (typically hydrophobic) regions within the primary sequence of the peptide as well as analysis of the ability to solubilize the peptide in a manner consistent with its eventual use (e.g., test tube-based assays, live cells, animal testing). The length of a peptide will also influence whether the peptide synthesis and its eventual purification can be done successfully. That is why we are available for technical assistance before, during and after your peptide has been manufactured to your specifications. See the tabs on the right for a discussion of many important peptide synthesis issues.
