The Vice President of Operations and Director of Mass Spectrometry and Analytical Services is Dr. Eric Berg. Dr. Berg received his Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Boston University Medical Center in 2001. Dr. Berg then did his postdoctoral work at the National Mass Spectrometry Research Resource under the direction of Dr. Catherine Costello. Dr. Berg's expertise in complex mixture separations, postsynthetic modification analysis and identification, and his familiarity with numerous mass spectrometers will translate into enhanced productivity for customers of our Mass Spec and Analytical Services. Eric was instrumental in the development of the PhosphoExploration^TM Program where researchers can work with our Analytical Laboratory staff to localize phosphorylation sites and most recently he has worked with several Epigenetic and cancer research labs to identify data on the localization and quantitation and localization of methylation sites on lysine and arginine located on histones and other proteins.
